Our Supply Chain

Crafted with care

At Frugi, we’re passionate about creating clothing that cares for little ones and is conscious of its impact on the planet they play on. Transparency is at the heart of what we do, and we’re excited to share how and where your favourite Frugi pieces are made.

A thoughtful process

We purposely grow, craft, and finish our clothes in one place whenever possible. This reduces the environmental impact of transportation and keeps everything as local as it can be, one of the many ways we're working to minimise our carbon footprint.

Why India?

India is the world's largest producer of organic cotton, responsible for over half of the global supply¹. With its rich soil, ideal climate, and generations of cotton-growing knowledge, it offers the perfect conditions for organic cotton to thrive.

By sourcing our cotton from India, we not only ensure high-quality fibres but also support local farming communities who are committed to growing in harmony with nature through certified organic practices.

Our seeds are sown differently

We work from the ground up, literally. Our choice to use certified organic cotton isn't just about soft threads, it's about supporting organic farming methods that nurture the soil, use natural pest control, and encourage bio-diversity; helping boost wildlife by up to 50% on organic farms. It's all part of creating a healthier planet to grow and play on.

Partnership built to last

We take our partnerships very seriously and we aim to work together for the long haul, developing and growing together. We only work with partners who have the same ethos and ethics as our own, as they are an extension of our team and family. One example of this is our work with Amit, based in India, we have been working with him and his incredible team since our very first collection in 2004. They've been instrumental in helping us craft our clothes to the highest ethical and environmental standards. Long-standing relationships mean we can work closely to ensure our clothing is made with care, respect, and we are all continuously working to create the smallest environmental footprint as possible.

GOTS Certified

All our organic cotton clothing is proudly certified Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) by the Soil Association Certification, no compromise. This means every step of the process, right from our certified organic fibres to how our clothes are made, meets strict environmental and ethical standards. It's better for the planet, for the farmers, the crafters, and for your little adventurers.
